Witches Mark is a band hailing from Austin, Texas USA (historically one of the best cities in America for producing quality underground bands) and Witching Metal Ritual is their debut. Witches Mark blends Black, Thrash, and Doom Metal into their cauldron, while adding a splash of Traditional Metal. The vocals range from higher octave squeals to guttural growls, and a few styles in between. The band has potential, but this debut is poorly produced with the guitars too far in the distance and the vocals overly emphasized in the forefront, making for a very difficult listen.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
