Cult Of The Fox is a Swedish Traditional Metal band formed in 2007, and Angelsbane is their 2nd release.  Although the band utilizes a number of guest musicians, musically this album contains no frills and is very straightforward.  Other than a few solid opening riffs, there’s nothing particularly innovative or catchy anywhere on this release.  As the voice for Cult Of The Fox, Magnus Hultman comes across as very easy to relate to and “one of us,” but both his vocals and the lyrical rhythms are below average, resulting in an overall low-budget-sounding album with limited appeal that tires quickly.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
