Derdian is a 6-piece Power Metal band (with some Progressive/Symphonic elements) from Italy. Limbo is their 4th release, which follows up their initial 3-part album release series, entitled New Era. The band brought on new vocalist Ivan Giannini for Limbo, and he, along with the rest of the band, offers plenty of good musicianship from start to finish. However, Limbo is a long album that is well-made, but tends to tire. Ivan’s thick accent makes it difficult to pick up on the lyrics, making the songs somewhat obscure, and unfortunately, nothing else offered within Limbo reaches out and grabs you.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
