Blackshine is a Thrash Metal band from Sweden with a handful of CDs to their credit.  Soul Confusion is a breath of fresh air to the Thrash scene – a genre that’s made attempts over the years to reinvent itself (sometimes successfully … other times not so much).  Blackshine’s Thrash includes killer guitar work, impressive drumming, and aggressive vocals … but most importantly, Anders Strokirk remembers to interject melody into each track’s lyrical pattern.  The production quality suffers some, but in no way should that spoil enjoyment of this release.  Soul Confusion’s an album all Thrash enthusiasts ought to check out.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
