MACHINE HEAD (Live)

at Rockefeller Music Hall, Oslo, Norway, November 9, 2004

For the second time promoting Through The Ashes Of Empires, Machine Head visited Oslo and Rockefeller… and as always, 90-minutes of Machine Head live is a real treat.

The venue was not so packed as it used to be when Robb Flynn and his associates were in town, but as is customary, Machine Head tore the place to pieces with their brutal Metal.

“Imperium” kicked the whole thing off, and when they reached “Old” as the third song, the place went ballistic. There may have not been many, but the fans present at Machine Head’s gig at Rockefeller this time were definitely of the loud kind.

So was Machine Head, of course. Blasting through their set loaded with energy, songs like “Bulldozer,” “Ten Ton Hammer,” and “The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears” were all pleasers. “The Burning Red” showed another side of Machine Head, and it’s always a delight when they break up the show with this masterpiece halfway through.

Word on the streets is that Machine Head is one of the top bands live in their line of business. Tuesday’s performance at Rockefeller didn’t change that fact, despite the poor attendance.
