Metal Express Radio: Rise Of The Northstar are set to release their new album entitled CHAPTER 04: RED FALCON SUPER BATTLE! NEO PARIS WAR!! on November 14th. What can you tell fans about the upcoming album?

EVA-B: This album is probably the best version of Rise Of The Northstar so far. You can definitely place it within the Urban Metal genre. We also changed the mixing and mastering process compared to the previous two albums, so what you’ll hear is a whole new version of ROTNS.

MER: How was the writing and recording process, being your fourth album?

EVA-B: It was mostly similar to the previous ones. I recorded most of the songs myself and presented them to the guys. Then Vitia started writing lyrics over them. A big change this time is that Yoru, our new bass player, is also a killer beatmaker. That allowed us to add some awesome beats to the songs, making everything much richer. We also worked with Florent Salfati from Landmvrks for the mixing and mastering, and he completely nailed it. He also helped Vitia with some of the vocal parts. It was a real pleasure working with him, smooth and inspiring.

MER: How would you compare this to your three previous albums?

EVA-B: The two main differences are definitely the sound, which is more modern, and the stronger hip-hop influence. That vibe was already there before, but with Yoru in the band, it’s now on another level.

MER: You’ll soon be headlining a tour in Europe, with several shows already sold out. What are your expectations for the upcoming tour?

EVA-B: I can’t wait to see how people react to the new songs. But more than that, we’ve worked on a completely new show with a totally fresh scenography. Vitia put a lot of work into it, and I’m sure people are going to love it!

MER: What do you see as the plans for Rise Of The Northstar after your European tour?

EVA-B: We’re already working on some shows for 2026. But we never stop writing, I still have lots of tracks on my hard drive, and I’ll keep adding more. Maybe some new stuff will come out sooner than expected!

MER: Is there anyone you hope to tour with that you haven’t yet, and why?

EVA-B: We’re all huge fans of the Nu Metal era. Touring with bands like Slipknot, Korn, or Limp Bizkit would be an absolute honor for us. Maybe one day!

MER: You’ve toured with a variety of bands from Suicide Silence to Madball and Machine Head. How has it been to play for such different audiences?

EVA-B: Touring with bands from different metal styles made us realize that we can actually fit into most of them. We’ve played with hardcore, deathcore, metal, and power metal bands, and at all kinds of festivals, and the crowd has always given us a warm welcome.

MER: Has there ever been a specific audience you’ve had to work harder to win over?

EVA-B: Well, this might contradict what I just said haha, but there was one tour that was kind of weird for us. We opened for Dir En Grey in Europe, and it was a very special experience, haha. I remember some Japanese fans who were following them from show to show, they were literally covering their faces and ears while we played! The crowd was mostly very young girls, so it was definitely harder to win them over. But we always gave our best!

MER: How would you describe your live show and appearance to someone who hasn’t seen or heard you yet?

EVA-B: Most of the feedback we get is that our energy really stands out. Our music just drives us crazy on stage. Personally, from the first note I hear, I go straight into full-power mode! The sound does that to me no matter who’s in front of me.

MER: Out of Rise Of The Northstar’s four albums, which one would you recommend to a new fan, and why?

EVA-B: Right now, I’d say the new album represents ROTNS the best. It’s exactly how the band should sound today; this is ROTNS in its purest, most current form. So go check it out!
