Most of the time our Guest DJ Show is used to spotlight a new release by a band we think you should hear. Then there are other occasions, like this week, where we use the platform to spotlight an artist we think you should know about! Formed in 2018, Rebel Messiah is an old-school Hard Rock/Metal band from Richmond, VA. Comprised of veteran musicians the music of Rebel Messiah harkens back to the early days of 70s & 80s heavy music. Their influences range from Black Sabbath & Deep Purple to Iron Maiden & Judas Priest. It’s music you’ll be chugging beers and fist-pumping to before the end of the first song you hear.
The band only has a self-titled EP released back in 2019 but it’s a banger and the music reminded us of bands like Rage and straight-ahead driving early Savatage, among others.
On the Guest DJ Show this Friday, guitarist Ed Savoy of Rebel Messiah will play 10 of his favorite Metal tracks. After his playlist, we’ll play a block of Rebel Messiah music off their EP!

7:00 am and 1:00 pm US West Coast
