Many may say that 2016 was a rotten year. But on the plus side, Nash B.C. has Burning Babylon to ease your woes. This Greek trio (Nash, Bacchus, and Costas, hence the name) do a great job a of producing a full sound with only three members. Vocals are coarse, but stay in key and occasionally include a raspy sound like Dave Mustaine. Drums follow the theme and keep things loose without sacrificing rhythm. Guitars are nice and fast with generous wah pedal usage.

Nash B.C. will be great for those looking for some European Metal without the high-gloss Power Metal that dominates the continent. Burning Babylon is nice and rough Hard Rock. Manly. Audible sawdust. Most of the tracks stick with that vibe, but the album ends with “Seeking”, an excellent stand-alone ballad that almost sounds like a different band. It would have been nice to hear it in the middle of the album to vary the tempo, but it’s still a nice way to wrap things up.

Jude was a reviewer here at Metal Express Radio, living in Taiwan but originally from the great state of Ohio, USA. He first got into music when a fellow weirdo in his catholic high school needed someone to play guitar with. They jammed on some Grunge Rock, but soon he got hooked on the blisteringly-fast shredding of Randy Rhoads and other greats. Later, he bought Metallica's Ride The Lightning as his first album purchase. During that time, his friends and him would end up at local Metal shows. He played in some bands himself as well.
