Astrakhan hails from Sweden, but unlike many bands coming out of that musical empire, Astrakhan does not play a derivative of Hair Metal. Astrakhan’s offering is entitled Adrenaline Kiss (pretty cool album name, if you think about it), however, this release does little to accelerate the listener’s heartbeat. Rather, Astrakhan’s musical focus centers around relaxed and subdued Progressive Rock compositions in the vein of Saga and Pink Floyd. Occasionally, the band revs up a few Hard Rock moments, but those are rather few and far-between, and attempts to create meaningful Prog Rock fall way short of the heavyweights mentioned above.

Songs from this new release will be featured at 6:00/18:00 CET & Midnight/Noon EST on the day indicated. All featured DAILY ALBUM PREMIERES will have a short review posted the day it’s on the show!

The FRIDAY edition of the Daily Album Premiere show contains 3 tracks from each of the Daily Premiere Albums featured during the week. Be sure to tune in here!

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
