One Machine is the brainchild of guitarist/songwriter Steve Smyth who has had stints with Vicious Rumors, Nevermore, and others. One Machine’s 2nd release is entitled The Final Cull … and maybe it’s just coincidence, but when the word “cull” is included in any album (or song) title, you just know it’s going to be heavy as holy f**k, and likely “evil” as hell.

And, not disappointingly so, that’s what you get with One Machine’s sophomore release. It’s a “live sounding” montage of Traditional, Thrash, Death, and Progressive Metal, layered with an angry vocal delivery. Good, but not for everyone …

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
