Black .44 hails from Helsinki, Finland, and their offering is entitled No Blanks. Black .44 has the “perfect” look for a Biker/Stoner Metal band: scruff, leather, boots, guns, chains, and blades, and an album title that indicates their music is fully loaded and no non-sense.

In the end, you’d probably expect Black .44 to come across as Black Label Society, but on premium instead of regular octane. No Blanks starts out with great promise and Black .44 initially lives up to their image, but becomes disappointingly unimaginative and redundant as it progresses along, making for a woefully average overall effort.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
