Frontiers Records works behind the scenes quite often these days to pair various Rock Stars with one another to knock out collaboration albums. The latest match-up is a reunion between Jean Beauvoir and Micki Free — the primary creators of Crown Of Thorns self-titled debut back in 1994. Beauvoir has done other work with Frontiers, and specializes in quality Melodic Hard Rock/Melodic Rock (think the softer side of King’s X or Survivor). The Beauvoir/Free collaboration is entitled American Trash, and from start to finish its 11 tracks are filled with consistent, catchy, easy-to-listen-to Melodic Hard Rock … impressive and well-written.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
