Xthirt13n is a new band based out of the USA, although comprised of German and American members from bands such as Circle II Circle, Doctor Butcher, and Pharoah. Xthirt13n’s debut is entitled A Taste Of The Light, which is a Modern Melodic Metal album with some Doom mixed in for good measure. Vocalist Tim Aymar is the focal point of this record, although a number of solid riffs and solos can be found start to finish. Aymar’s style is aggressive, if not overbearing at times, unfortunately masking some of the quality song writing contained within A Taste Of The Light.

    Dan is a former partner at Metal Express Radio, and also served as a reviewer, photographer and interviewer on occasions. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
