Leviathan is a veteran Progressive Hard Rock band out of Colorado, USA; penning a number of albums since their inception in 1989. The band’s latest release is inquisitively entitled Beholden To Nothing, Braver Since Then. The album is chock full of various musical styles, shifting from all-out walls of sound to lighter, more introspective Progressive Rock that is a small step above bands like Yes on the “heaviness” scale. Overall, this album offers plenty to keep your interest musically (even more true if you are Agnostic or Atheist), with the vocal talents of Jeff Ward being the only (unfortunate) weakness.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
