Stonecast is an Epic Metal band from France, and Heroikis is the band’s second release, this time featuring drummer Rhino from the Epic Metal Godfathers Manowar. At times, Stonecast sounds remarkably similar to Blind Guardian (so if you enjoy that band, by all means check out this album!), but at other times they simply sound out of sync in Heroikis. There are brushes with greatness occasionally within this album, but mostly Heroikis sounds uninspired and under-talented, especially at the microphone. In the end, Stonecast has made valiant attempt towards making a relevant Epic Metal album, but falls short into mediocrity.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
