Louna is a female-fronted Hard Rock band who’s experienced notable success in their Russian homeland by clocking in two #1 hits. To boot, the track “Fight Club” won Song Of The Year at the 2011 Nashe Awards. Their latest release entitled Behind A Mask is filled with plenty of Joan Jett-ish tough girl attitude at the hands of the band’s leader, Louise Gevorkian, who also comes decorated (she won Female Vocalist Of The Year at the 2012 Nashe Awards). Musically, there’s nothing overly impressive or offensive here … if you enjoy female-fronted Hard Rock with attitude, check this one out.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
