The Storyteller is a Traditional/Epic Power Metal band hailing from Sweden, and with Dark Legacy, the band now has a handful of releases to their credit. The story line of this album deals with Vikings and the gods from Northern Mythology, which falls in line with the Epic Metal nature of the band. The production quality is weak by today’s standards, but musically, The Storyteller delivers some innovative material. The problem is vocalist Lars-Goran Persson performs solidly (a la Udo Dirkschneider), but he over dominates certain songs with held notes that are often off-key and filled with a Scandinavian accent.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
