Privacy Policy — Metal Quiz Battle

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Metal Quiz Battle (“the app”) is a metal and hard rock trivia game published by Metal Express Radio.

What we collect

Game Center identity. The app uses Apple Game Center for turn-based multiplayer matches and the leaderboard. Your Game Center display name and player ID are handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s own Game Center privacy terms — the app never sees or stores your real name, email, or Apple ID directly.

Local score data. Your personal best score and number of rounds played are stored only on your device (locally), and are never transmitted anywhere.

No account, no password. The app has no login system of its own. There is nothing to register, and no personal data (name, email, phone number) is ever requested or stored by us.

Advertising data. The app shows a banner advertisement, served by Google AdMob. To do this, AdMob (and its ad-network partners) may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), general device information, and approximate location (derived from IP address) to select and measure ads. If you decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or your device has “Allow apps to request to track” disabled, AdMob shows non-personalized ads instead and does not use the IDFA for personalization.

What we do NOT collect

·         No account data, names, emails, or phone numbers of our own

·         No location data collected directly by us (see the advertising note above for location signals used by the ad SDK itself)

·         No contacts or photos

·         No analytics or tracking SDKs beyond the advertising SDK described above

Third-party services

Apple Game Center — used for matchmaking, turn notifications, and the leaderboard. Governed by Apple’s Game Center privacy terms.

Google AdMob — used to display a banner advertisement in the app. AdMob may use the advertising identifier and device/usage data to serve and measure ads, and may work with third-party ad-network partners for the same purpose. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Users in the EU/EEA and UK — including Norway — are shown a consent form, via Google’s User Messaging Platform, before any ad is requested, letting you choose whether to allow personalized advertising.

Google Sheets (public, read-only) — the app fetches its current list of trivia questions from a public Google Sheet. This is a one-way, unauthenticated read of public content — no user data is sent to Google as part of this request beyond a standard web request.

Your choices

·         You can withdraw or change ad-personalization consent at any time by resetting your device’s advertising identifier or adjusting tracking permissions in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

·         You can turn off personalized ads system-wide in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising, and via your Google Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com.

Data retention & deletion

We do not operate a server and do not store personal data ourselves, so there is nothing for us to delete on request beyond uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data (personal best score, cached questions). For data collected by Google AdMob, refer to Google’s own retention and deletion practices in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or third-party services. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
