LOVER UNDER COVER – Into The Night

Lover Under Cover (LUC) are a relatively new band from Sweden, and Into The Night is their sophomore release. LUC plays a mix of Melodic Rock and Melodic Hard Rock, and Into The Night folds in a number of Scandinavian guest musicians, who add a bit of flair to the otherwise uncomplicated musical soundscape. Vocalist Mikael Erlandsson comes across as Sweden’s version of Bryan Adams (which is a complement), with genuine warmth and skill emanating from his pipes. The album is easy to listen to, but many of the songs fade into obscurity quickly, making this an average release overall.
