lacuna coilThe eighth album from Italian Metal outfit Lacuna Coil marks a certain break in the band’s history as Delirium is the first album without guitar player Cristiano Migliore and drummer Cristiano Mozzati, who left the band in 2014. And indeed, the change is audible. While Cristina Scabbia’s fantastic voice can still excite, the musical recipe of Delirium is somewhat similar on each track, and the general trend into Modern, almost Nu-Metal sounds does not become the band. While each song by itself is good, the whole album suffers from that monotony and ends up in 8th place in the band’s discography, although it is still far from being a bad album. Fans may want to approach with a little caution.
