Germany’s Assassin has released a handful of studio records since the late ‘80s, with Combat Cathedral being their latest.  The band’s style on this release is somewhere between balls-out Thrash and Hardcore, with a violent, powerful, blitzkrieg delivery.  The majority of tracks on Combat Cathedral follow the format of speed, aggression, and bludgeoning each instrument.  If you like your Metal fast, loud, and brutal, this Assassin release should give you more than your fill.  The clear downside is too much of “anything” is just too much … and lack of differentiation between many of the tracks can tire halfway through.

Songs from this new release will be featured at 6:00/18:00 CET & Midnight/Noon EST on the day indicated. All featured DAILY ALBUM PREMIERES will have a short review posted the day it’s on the show!

Dan is a former partner at Metal Express Radio, and also served as a reviewer, photographer and interviewer on occasions. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
