There’s a certain level of accepted excess that is assumed of the listener when putting on an album called Lizard Secrets, Part One: Land Of The Living. This no nonsense, 13 track release of Airborn’s heartwarming, Classic Speed Metal with Thrash flavors won’t disappoint fans of the act’s previous releases or of the genre in general. Not to be confused with Airbourne (from Australia), Airborn hails from Italy and has been cranking out metal albums since 1999. Lizard Secrets marks their 5th full-length studio release.

While the release is a concept album on one level, the songs still contain enough standard metal material to stand well on their own. Themes range from conspiracy theories and alien invasions, to post apocalyptic war and metal unity.

Fans of RIOT, Steelwing, Pretty Maids, Helstar, and Raven will feel right at home here. Tracks like “Wolf Child”, “Defenders Of Planet Earth”, and “Brace For Impact” are straight ahead Speed Metal, while “Lizard Secret”, “We Realize”, and “Meaning Of Life” have a more Power Metal oriented stance. Regardless of the sub-genre, this is a 100% classic metal album.
