British hard rock band FM, formed in 1984, have been through their fair share of hardships and triumphs throughout their career. They are best known for their first two records, Indiscreet (1986) and Tough It Out (1989). Having similar factors as classic AOR bands such as Journey and Foreigner, their sound incorporates different styles of music such as soul, blues, funk, country, and pop. Though they never made it big in America, they continued to travel the world and build their fanbase on their terms. Since reforming in 2007, the band have consistently been putting out new studio albums under the notion of not wanting to rely on their past accomplishments. The three remaining members from the original lineup include lead vocalist Steve Overland, drummer Pete Jupp, and bassist Merv Goldsworthy.

Lana Teramae of Metal Express Radio had a chat with lead vocalist Steve Overland from FM about their brand new studio album, Brotherhood (2025). The conversation covers everything from the band’s documentary-style approach towards music videos to Overland’s beloved memories of Ozzy Osbourne. He also reveals the secret to the band’s lasting chemistry.

Brotherhood will be released on September 5, 2025 through Frontiers Music Srl.

Lana is a reviewer at Metal Express Radio from Honolulu, Hawaii. She's always had a passion for music, but she didn't get into Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music until she discovered Rick Allen's story in the summer of 2019. She was inspired by his determination to play drums for Def Leppard again after losing his left arm in a car accident. From there, her tastes expanded to other bands such as AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Judas Priest, Saxon, Cinderella, and Overkill. Aside from listening to music, she loves watching YouTube and writing on her personal blog.
