This week’s Guest DJ is progressive metal powerhouse Tiago Masseti, frontman of the brand new band MASSETI!

Originally from southern Brazil and now based in Brooklyn, NY, Tiago Masseti has carved out a reputation as a visionary singer, guitarist, and songwriter. You may know him as the lead vocalist and main songwriter for DAYDREAM XI, or from his work with international metal acts like KINGDOM NORTH, THIRD EYE, and GALAXYA. Now, Tiago is set to launch a bold new chapter with MASSETI, whose highly anticipated debut album, Odds and Ends, drops soon!

MASSETI delivers a thrilling blend of progressive metal, inspired by icons such as OPETH, SYMPHONY X, DEVIN TOWNSEND, and DREAM THEATER. Expect intricate compositions, dynamic arrangements, and a sound that’s as heavy as it is melodic. Tiago’s journey—from being handpicked by Mike Portnoy for Progressive Nation at Sea, to performing at ProgPower USA, to relocating to the US and crafting new music during the pandemic—has shaped a unique and compelling musical vision.

On this week’s Guest DJ Show, Tiago will spin ten of his most influential and favorite Progressive Metal/Hard Rock tracks. After his playlist, stick around for an exclusive preview of songs from MASSETI’s debut album, “Odds and Ends”!

"My philosophy is to try to give all Metal releases a fair chance to get promoted in one way or another. As you can imagine, it can be an arduous task to listen through about 20 albums every week! Still, I know we have the best METAL dedicated radio on this planet, and that is a reward in and of itself. I hope one day the whole Metal community can and will make listening to Metal Express Radio part of their daily rituals! Yeah, right..."
