Ever heard of those bands that have nine lives? Well, one of them is an American melodic hard rock band named Giant. Formed in the late ’80s by brothers Dann and David Huff, the band crashed into the music scene with their debut album, Last of the Runaways (1989), which features their mega power ballad, “I’ll See You in My Dreams.” Three years later, Giant released their successful follow-up, Time to Burn (1992), an album deemed a major influence for melodic hard rock bands that came afterwards. The grunge rock scene forced the band to call it quits, but years later, thanks to Frontiers Music, they released their third studio album simply titled, III, in 2001. Though Dann had to step back from the band due to his busy schedule, he gave David and original bassist Mike Brignardello his blessing to continue Giant’s legacy and keep their music alive.

Lana Teramae of Metal Express Radio had a chat with drummer David Huff from Giant about their upcoming studio album, Stand and Deliver (2025). They also talked about the latest concerts they’ve attended, the challenges of bands with ever-changing lineups, and David’s journey in honing his skills as a record producer.

Stand and Deliver will be released on May 16, 2025 through Frontiers Music Srl.

She's always had a passion for music, but she didn't get into Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music until she discovered Rick Allen's story in the summer of 2019. She was inspired by his determination to play drums for Def Leppard again after losing his left arm in a car accident. From there, her tastes expanded to other bands such as AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Judas Priest, Saxon, Cinderella, and Overkill. Aside from listening to music, she loves watching YouTube and writing on her personal blog.
