( votes)While some felt that Flotsam and Jetsam would have a hard time following up their well-received, self-title 2016 release, on The End Of Chaos, the band seems even stronger and is remarkably fresh sounding. Eric AK’s vocals seem to improve with age, and the band is as tight as its ever been.
Scheduled for release in January, The End Of Chaos will appeal to all Thrash and Speed Metal fans. The production on this album is a bit more polished and less raw sounding than on Flotsam And Jetsam. This may please some fans and while others might prefer the more aggressive sonic vibe of that previous release. Either way, there’s certainly no Italian style choir laden keyboard lines here so even the most die-hard Thrash purist will find their feathers unruffled.
Although it has been said before, it is true enough to repeat here: Flotsam and Jetsam continues to be a remarkably consistent and reliably great band. The End Of Chaos is another proud addition to their catalog.
