( votes)With their mix of modern, aggressive metal vocals and traditional, more Hard Rock based melodic passages, on Age Of Revolution Immortal Guardian finds a nice balance between contemporary and classic metal styles.
The impressive vocal chops of Carlos Zema are on display here and although his performance shines, the underlying material is strong enough to avoid being overshadowed by his substantial presence. There are noticeable Prog influences in additional to the obvious Power Metal undertones. Some unique song structures and a fresh blend of instrumentation keep things interesting while the band fires on all cylinders throughout the album’s entirety.
While the more aggressive delivery of some of this band’s material may be off-putting to more old-school fans, the perfect delivery and noteworthy chops of this 4-piece will keep most listeners glued to the speakers.
