With Concussion Protocol, Metal veterans Vicious Rumors’ 12th studio album, the group has found the perfectly triangulated middle ground between Thrash, Power Metal, and the classic New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. A strong release for a band with an already strong back catalog, Concussion Protocol benefits immensely from the addition of new vocalist Nick Holleman, who’s Thrash-edged growl and banshee screams fit in perfectly with the band’s well-honed songwriting and production techniques. Aside from the fantastic execution, Concussion Protocol is Vicious Rumors’ first concept album and features lyrics about a post-asteroid strike resulting in a decimated society complete with religious fanatics, cannibalism and a world driven mad by starvation and violence. Perfect for bedtime listening!

Highlights include, “Concussion Protocol”, “Take It Or Leave It” and the adrenaline spiking “1000 years”.
