Underground Symphony Seveteen years have passed since the release of Irae Melanox, which many fans call a cult album. The LP was reprinted to CD in 1998 by Warlord Records. This autumn Adramelch is out with a new album called Broken History.

The fact that they have gone almost 20 years since their last CD, gave away that maybe some changes were to be expected, but after a few spins it is clear that this band has got some skills, and they sound real tight through the whole album. Their songs are varied, and the track lengths are all from 32 seconds to seven minutes.

A first conclusion is that this new album brings the listeners back to the Metal scene of the 80s. Some may think they are a bit old-fashioned. The longer tracks on the album make it seem like the band really has put a lot of effort into the structure and the arrangements of the songs. All is well performed and decently produced (Maurizio Chiarello for Underground Symphony), and vocalist Vittorio Ballerio, who also has written all the lyrics at this album, really suits the song material well with his high-pitched voice. Check out songs like "I´ll Save The world" and the title track "Broken History." This is a strong release, well done on all counts. This is straightforward, almost to the point where it is too simple from this Italian outfit.

It is not easy to compare this music to any other bands, Adramelch doesn´t imitate anyone, they rest absolutely relaxed in their own musical world. Their emotions fill most of these tunes, making this first release in 17 years generate feelings of honesty. The key element of this band is surprise. When most of the listeners may think that this will be an average Italian Power Metal CD, Adramelch has taken a huge U-turn in their sound that surprises big time. Broken History is a new start for these guys, and it takes a lot of guts to start all over again –- thumbs up -- this release is indeed a jewel in the Adramelch crown.

Line Up:
Gianluca Corona – Guitars, choirs, and composer of all the music.
Vittorio Ballerio – Vocals, and the author of all the lyrics.
Fabio Troiani - Guitar
Luca Sigfrido Percich (Sig) - Drums
Maurizio Lietti (Mau) - Bass guitar
